New Job

I decided to write about what I posted on facebook because of comments i received. Kenneth and Ashly were promised things for their job at Fish Lake that they never received like being put on salary so they would have enough money to live on during the winter, it never happened. They were also promised a food allowance during the winter because their are not any cooks there at that time and that didn't happen. They have been given an awful cabin to live in that always smells like propane leaking unless they leave the heat on all the time. The people running the lodge and lakeside have also put a new demand on them to remain at Fish Lake after they have finished their days work. They want Kenneth and Ashly to be there 24 hours a day seven days a week so they can reach them at any time by radio, but they will not pay them for any extra time and Kenneth says he will not be their slave. Ashly's brother-in-law works in Colorado doing seismographic work (i don't know how to spell it,but spellcheck did) anyway they have been working with him and last night at 8:30 they found out they got the job. They informed Fish Lake and came to Richfield packed their things came to our house for lunch to tell us goodbye and headed for Colorado because they have to be there tomorrow for orientation. It came on them fast, I just hope it turns out to be all they want and works out well for them, but I hated to have them leave because we got to see them quite often so I am going to have Kenneth and Ashly withdrawals.

Flaming Gorge

Kay C called me one day back in May and asked me if we were going to have a family camping trip this year, so he got me to thinking it would be really nice if we all could get together for a camping trip. I went to Coy and told him he needed to commit to a time when he could get away from work and farming and so he did. Thus it began, trying to figure out a place that everyone could enjoy something. I was having a hard time coming up with a place and than Kenneth suggested Flaming Gorge. I got a hold of all the kids and the planning began. We have enjoyed going to Elk Horn a couple of times but the last time it rained so much and being in tents well it was miserable so we decided against that. We reserved camping sites at the firefighters campground in Flaming Gorge and so that is where we went. We knew all of us would be in tents and so we hoped for good weather and we were lucky as we didn't get rained on at all and everyone came home with sunburns because it was hotter than we thought it would be in the mountains, but that was good for playing in the water. We bought a raft and the girls took Karter and went on the lake in the raft while the guys went fishing. Kenneth's Father-in-law was kind engouh to let Kenneth borrow his fishing boat for our trip so Kenneth took who ever wanted to out fishing. Coy was very excited to catch a mac. but didn't have any luck however they did catch some trout so all was not lost.
We were happy to have all of our family come and we look forward to doing another camping trip in the future.
We hope everyone is having a good summer and we are sad to think it is about over it seems like it just got started.
When we returned home we found out about Gary and are sad to hear of his condition. We are confident that with all our prayers for him that the surgery he needs will go well.
We hope this finds everyone else doing well.
